WKU Math Symposium Session Focused on Math Biology Research
On November 9 and 10, Western Kentucky University will host its 38th
Annual Mathematics Symposium. We highly encourage faculty and students
from other colleges and universities to present at the symposium. In
particular, we will have a session focused on research in mathematical
biology. Abstracts are due October 26. For inquiries about the Math
Symposium, please contact Richard Schugart at

Subject: Postdoc: Human Fungal Disease Modeling, U. of Connecticut, USA
We have an opening for a postdoctoral researcher to work on an
NIH-funded project to model the innate immune response to respiratory
fungal infections. The postdoc will work within a large team
consisting of modelers, clinicians, and computer scientists. Expertise
in agent-based modeling is helpful, but not necessary, and so is some
knowledge of immunology. A summary of the project can be found here:
health.uconn.edu/laubenbacher/wp-content/uploads/sites/146/2018/08/PROJECT-SUMMARY_Borna.pdf
Please contact Dr. Reinhard Laubenbacher at laubenbacher@uchc.edu for
more information about the project and how to apply.
