Applications are invited for a two-year postdoctoral position in mathematical/computational neuroscience to work with Prof. Paul Bressloff who joins the mathematical biology group at the University of Utah in Jan 2001. The successful candidate will also interact with Jenny Lund and colleagues in the newly-formed systems neuroscience group within the Medical School.

Research Area: "Mathematical/computational models of primary visual cortex: the functional role of intrinsic horizontal connections and inter-areal feedback connections"

Qualifications: Experience in neural computational modeling at the systems level essential. Some knowledge of primate visual cortex desirable but not essential. Strong numerical/analytical skills.
