The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas has a few assistantships available for the coming academic year for studies toward a Masters degree. The stipend is $8500 for nine months, with 83% tuition waiver (the student pays $16.41 per credit), in exchange for the equivalent of 20 hrs/week work for the department, which typically consists of teaching two 3-credits courses per semester.
