A post-doctoral fellowship position is available for mathematical modeling and physiological measurement of skeletal muscle force and motion. The job entails measuring force and motion on human and animal subjects undergoing FES, improving our differential equation models that represent the dynamics of motion and force, and identifying parameters in these equations using numerical optimization techniques. A Ph.D. in physiology, biomedical engineering, biophysics or a closely related discipline is desired.
