The Mathematics Department at the University of British Columbia is seeking
an outstanding candidate in Mathematical Ecology for a tenure track
Assistant Professorship to begin 1 July 1998. This will be a joint
appointment equally shared with the Department of Zoology. Applicants
should have a proven research record of high quality and have demonstrated
interest and ability in teaching. Preference will be given to candidates
who have one or more years of postdoctoral experience. The salary will be
commensurate with experience and research record. Applicants should send a
current cv including a list of publications, statement of research and
teaching interests and arrange for three letters of recommendation to be
