The Sixth International Conference on Mathematical Modeling and Analysis of
Populations in Biological Systems (ICMA-VI) will take place October 20-22,
2017, at University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ. The conference is dedicated to
the memory of Karl Hadeler.

The general theme of the ICMA conferences is the analysis of mathematical
models for the temporal dynamics of biological populations. A special
emphasis at this sixth conference will be placed on the effects of
environmental/climate change.

Specific topics include, but are not limited to: Population & ecological
dynamics; Adaptation & evolutionary dynamics; Dynamics of infectious
diseases; Dispersal and distribution of populations; Invasions and

Long-term visitor funding available at the Fields Institute (Toronto)

The Fields Institute will host a thematic program on "Emerging
Challenges in Mathematical Biology" from January to June 2018. Funding
is available for long-term visitors (up to six months) to (partially)
cover airfare and accommodation. We are looking for individuals to
participate in the workshops, to interact with postdoctoral fellows, to
visit related research labs at nearby universities, and to contribute
to the community of researchers in Mathematical biology at the
