Registration is now open for the Guelph Biomathematics and Biostatistics
Symposium 2015, the 11th event in an annual series. It takes place on
May 5, 2015, at the University of Guelph, Guelph ON Canada. This year's
topic is
"Descriptive and Predictive Methods in the Study of Communicable Diseases"
The event will also host the 2015 Ashton Lecture by Jonathan Dusthoff
(McMaster University).
web-site:
http://www.fields.utoronto.ca/programs/scientific/14-15/biomathstat15/index.htmlThe Guelph BIOMS Symposium provides a forum for mathematicians,
statisticians and researchers in the life scientists to come together and
exchange ideas on annual varying topics topics. In particular graduate
students are cordially invted to submit posters and to enter the poster
award competition.

Subject: Postdoc Position: Spatiotemporal Modeling of..., U of New Mexico
The University of New Mexico Spatiotemporal Modeling of Cell Signaling
Center (STMC) is searching for a postdoctoral researcher with experience
in computational biologist and modeling dynamical systems. Preference is
given to the applicant that is a skilled programmer (C++, Fortran, Matlab).
The individual should be comfortable with mathematical thinking, and have
a sound instinct for molecular and cellular biology. The position functions
as a key component within the STMC with an ambitious project seeking to
build large dynamic spatialtemporal models of cell signaling networks.
