    Announcing workshop and seminar
Dynamics of Immune Repertoires: Exploration and Translation
Scientific coordinators: Anne Eugster, Uri Hershberg, Michal Or-Guil, Gur Yaari

Research on control and decision making in the dynamics of the immune system is evolving at a breathtaking pace. New technologies, including high throughput and single cell analysis, open new avenues of research and stimulate the creation of novel therapies for cancer, autoimmunity and vaccine development. Such interventions benefit from the understanding of the dynamics and architecture of adaptive immune cells.

Dealing with the analysis of large immune cell repertoires is the current challenge in adaptive immunity research. We are striving to find the relationship between an individual’s repertoire and its immune receptor functionality, as well as to unravel the complex, multi-scale dynamics that determine immune response control.

In this conference, we will bring together leading scientists from different disciplines who work on subjects pertaining to control and decision making in the dynamics of immune repertoires. A special focus will be given to enhancing cooperation between clinics and basic research institutions. We thereby seek to deeply explore the newly emerging immune landscape and to bridge some of the gaps between theoretical approaches and clinical research.

    Topics include
    – the architecture of immune cell networks
    – challenges in computational tools
    – determining bridges between repertoire sequences and function
    – experimental challenges
    – immunopharmacogenomics
    – translation to clinics
    – bridging innate and adaptive immune system
    – molecular recognition by distributed systems

The event takes places from 4th to 30th July 2022 at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems in Dresden, Germany.
