Mathematical modelling has been successfully used to understand fundamental biological processes and diseases. Many of these models focus on molecular, cellular and tissue-scale features of biology. In recent years, experiments revealed that physical properties and mechanical forces are additional critical features characterising health and diseases. Therefore, mechanics-motivated mathematical models have been developed. In this workshop, several experts in this field are coming together to discuss and share ideas for improving such models.
The workshop starts in the afternoon of September 7 and continues for the full day on the 8th. Over the course of one and a half days, we have a mix of talks from distinguished speakers and early-career scientists who are encouraged to submit an abstract for a talk or poster.
The deadline for abstract submission is 5PM on the 8th of August. The fee for the workshop is £150 that includes a conference dinner on day 1 and lunch on day 2. Once the abstract is selected, a separate confirmation email with a payment link will be sent.
We have a limited amount of travel awards available for selected participants who do not have their own funding. Please indicate if you wish to be considered for these. You are also welcome to attend the workshop without having submitted an abstract.
Looking forward to an exciting workshop.
