The University of Glasgow (UK) invites applications for a 3-year Rankin-Sneddon Fellowship. The fellowship will allow the successful candidate to pursue their own independent research programme  in a field of Mathematics that complements the existing strengths within the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Glasgow. In particular, the School has a world-class Mathematical Biology Research Group covering Ecology, Epidemiology and physiology. It has strong research links with leading Life Sciences Institutes within the College of Medicine, Veterinary and Life Sciences at the University of Glasgow, including the Boyd Orr Centre for Population and Ecosystem Health (https://www.gla.ac.uk/research/az/boydorr/) and the  British Heart Foundation Centre of Excellence in Vascular Science and Medicine. Members of the Mathematical Biology Research Group also lead a consortium an EPSRC-funded Mathematics in Healthcare Centre (SofTMech) for Multiscale Soft Tissue Mechanics (http://www.softmech.org)
