Do you want to do genuinely interdisciplinary research at the interface of applied mathematics, physiology and bioengineering? Two fully-funded PhD positions (tuition+fees+stipend) and one funded MSc position are available at the University of Auckland in New Zealand.
Project: Spatial tipping points, early warning signals and lung physiology: when can we predict catastrophic change?
For position details see: https://www.math.auckland.ac.nz/~gdon030/#current
These projects will suit strong students with a background in applied mathematics or a similar quantitative discipline; no particular knowledge of lung physiology is assumed, though you must at least be willing to learn! Start dates are flexible during 2023. To apply, please contact Graham Donovan at g.donovan@auckland.ac.nz
