The Department of Mathematics at the University of Florida is pleased to invite applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty positions to begin August 16, 2023: 1 position in the area of Probability (broadly interpreted) and 1 position open to all areas in Mathematics.
Candidates should have an established research program, a compelling plan for future research, the ability to supervise both graduate and undergraduate research, and a commitment to excellence in teaching. A Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or a closely related field is required. The Department of Mathematics is committed to diversity across all its dimensions, and we particularly welcome applications from groups that have been historically excluded from the mathematical community.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant department of approximately 60 faculty and 85 graduate students pursuing research in a broad array of pure and applied areas. The University of Florida is ranked the 5th best public university in the United States by US News and World Report 2022. The university and greater Gainesville community enjoy an abundance of cultural events and year-round outdoor recreational activities.
Although applications for both positions will be accepted until the position is filled, only those received by November 1, 2022 can be guaranteed full consideration.
