Moffitt Cancer Center has the largest group of mathematical oncologists in its unique Integrated Mathematical Oncology (IMO) department. Moffitt Cancer Center is the central hub for translational mathematical modeling research, providing a unique training environment for graduate studies.

As part of the Cancer Biology PhD program, the Integrated Mathematical Oncology Major consists of focused training in mathematical modeling for cancer biology and clinical oncology problems. Students will also receive interdisciplinary training in the broader field of cancer biology and immunology through coursework and immersion in the Moffitt Cancer Center’s research endeavors.

Our PhD program will enroll 2-3 students for fall 2022.  Application deadline is December 1.

Students enjoy full tuition coverage (incl. international students), health insurance, as well as a competitive stipend.  Students apply to the program and mentors will be identified during different lab rotations.

Details about the PhD program and application can be found at: https://moffitt.org/CancerPhD/IMO

List of potential mentors can be found on the IMO department website at https://moffitt.org/research-science/divisions-and-departments/quantitative-science/integrated-mathematical-oncology/
